Canapy is an application I helped build while at Aquila Development. I was tasked with translating the provided design in to a functional and mobile friendly webapp that allowed people to connect their online stores and view orders in one place.
The most challenging part of working on this project was working with the 3 completely different OAuth (web authorization) processes. Both Etsy and Squarespace have libraries that allow for a user to log in with the click of a few buttons, but for Shopify I had to create a custom flow that included sending emails to the user and business owner to activate Shopify's authorization.
I also had to make sure importing the orders from the different APIs, with different data structures mapped out correctly to work cohesively, along-side each other.
The finished product is a very useful tool for online retailers.
